In the webinar series Learning from each other, we go to Poland on June 8. A delegation of EUCOMS visited the city of Krakow in Poland on May 27 and 28. We were impressed by the longstanding mental health reform. Many of the ideas of EUCOMS have already become regular practice there. We also saw a practice that is in crisis, mainly by a lack of political support. On top of that, the country had like the rest of the world to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic and now with the enormous influx of refugees from neighbouring Ukraine (we already described this in our April newsletter). Therefore, many lessons can be learned, about successes and challenges, about vision, practice and pulling forces to the institutional model of mental health care.
This webinar will be available LIVE in English and Polish languages.
Rene Keet and Andrzej Cechnicki will chair the session. This will be a bilingual session, that can be watched in English and in Polish with simultaneous translation. The session will be opened by peer expert Katarzyna Szczerbowska, the keynote will be presented by Izabela Ciuńczyk. Sean Russel of IIMHL will give a reflection and your feedback is welcome in the Q and A session.
