On the afternoon of 15 September, following the scientific sessions, all participants will take part in a guided visit to one of Brescia’s mental health services.
This is where the seminar moves from theory into practice. Rather than only hearing about the Italian model of community mental health care, you will step inside the services that deliver it, meet the teams who run them, and see how the principles discussed in the morning translate into daily work.
All visits begin at 15:00 and depart from the seminar venue:
📍 IRCCS Saint John of God Clinical Research Centre, Via Pilastroni 4, 25125 Brescia
The five services
- IRCCS Saint John of God Clinical Research Centre – psychiatric research hospital integrating clinical care, rehabilitation, and research. No transfer required, the visit takes place at the venue.

📄 Read the full guide before choosing
The complete guide below sets out each service in detail, with addresses, contact persons, capacity, travel arrangements, and maps. Please read it before making your selection, as the visits differ considerably in what they offer and how you get there.

How to choose your visit
Places at each service are limited, and some can host as few as ten people. To make this as fair and as workable as possible, we ask you to rank all five visits in order of preference, from 1 (your first choice) to 5 (your last choice).
Allocation works on a first come, first served basis. If your first choice is already full when we process your form, we move you to your second preference, then your third. The earlier you respond, the more likely you are to get the visit you most want.
Deadline: 5 September 2026
Once the form closes, we will confirm by email which visit you have been assigned to, along with final details on transport and meeting points.
